This arm is very robust. I didn’t want to overstrain it, but after mounting and before hanging the TV I couldn’t resist putting perhaps 60% of my 160lb weight on it. Didn’t budge. Buy this mount in conjunction with Atdec’s tilt wall mount and you won’t be disappointed. I love my setup, particularly the fact that I can push the TV against the wall where it doesn’t dominate the room as much as if it had been mounted over the fireplace as I had originally intended. The 31-55″ Swing Arm Adaptor Kit suits LCD and Plasma Flat Panel Displays from 31″ (78cm) to 55″ (140cm), suits most VESA and non-VESA compliant displays. It supports Flat Panel Displays up to 60kgs (132lbs). The maximum distance from wall to back of display is 554mm (22″). Adjustable tilt from – 5? to + 25?; features horizontal adjustment of +/- 5?, pans 180? from wall. The product fits mounting hole patterns from 180mm to 685mm wide (7″- 27″) by 100mm to 430mm high (4″- 17″).
